This wooden phallocrypt with rattan trim was collected in the upper Sepik River village of Ambunti in December of 1976. It is 6.5 inches long with an opening of 1 inch.

I recently obtained a group of artifacts from legendary New Guinea collector Ron Perry who spent many decades working and collecting in New Guinea starting in the early 1960’s. This group came from a crate he shipped from New Guinea in December of 1976.
